Balls and Jane is a rockin’ blues band that began when Jane Archer and Arin Jonny 4Balls Jessup met at The Dobro in Peterborough October 2010 at an open mic. Jane was blown away by then 18 year old Arin’s already considerable mastery of blues guitar, as well as his unique singing voice and in-depth knowledge of the blues genre. Arin was impressed with Jane’s powerful vocals, her song choices and her intense delivery and was heard to mutter, “I see you are not one to half-ass a song”… and… Balls and Jane was born.
They soon realized that this unique combination of Jane’s dynamic vocals and Arin’s formidable talents as a blues guitarist/ singer, packed a formidable punch. With the addition of multi-instrumentalist Brandon Humphrey on second guitar, vocals, keys and sax, together with Dawson McManus on bass and Kyle Nurse (and occasionally Liam Archer) on drums, they deliver a fiery mix of red hot blues, rock classics and originals with passion and commitment.
